2026 Miken HB12 Mint: A Compact 12.5-Inch Loaded Two-Piece
The 2026 Miken HB12 Mint MSU6HBML is a 12.5-inch two-piece composite slowpitch bat built for players who prefer a focused hitting surface and the additional barrel presence of a Maxload. Its mint finish identifies the edition, but its true playing character comes from the short barrel, separate handle connection and loaded weight distribution. A hitter accustomed to a long 13.5-inch Freak may notice the reduced physical contact length immediately.
12.5-Inch Barrel Versus Long-Barrel Coverage
The HB12 concentrates the responsive composite area into a shorter section, which can reward a player who repeatedly strikes a consistent point on the barrel. The tradeoff is less physical coverage than longer options. The two-piece layout aims to reduce harsh contact feedback reaching the hands, while end-loaded weighting can make the hitting end feel more substantial during a swing.
Choosing the HB12 Weight
Stock includes nominal 25-, 26- and 27-ounce versions, all 34 inches long. A stronger hitter may enjoy the loaded barrel's momentum, but a player who gets late to inside pitching may be better served by less total weight or a balanced model.
