2027 DeMarini Voodoo One BBCOR (-3) Baseball Bat: WBD2705010

2027 DeMarini Voodoo One -3 BBCOR: Quick Barrel, One-Piece Alloy Feel

The 2027 DeMarini Voodoo One (WBD2705010) is built for a different hitter from the heavier-swinging The Goods. Its one-piece X14 alloy construction and balanced, low-inertia swing profile emphasize getting the barrel into the zone quickly. The 2⅝-inch alloy barrel offers the direct, immediate contact feedback associated with a stiff one-piece BBCOR bat. Players who prioritize hand speed, pitch recognition and late adjustments may prefer that approach over an end-loaded design that demands more time to accelerate.

How the X14 Barrel Plays

DeMarini uses its X14 alloy barrel to combine a responsive metal hitting surface with a comparatively easy-to-control swing. The bat is not a two-piece composite and does not depend on composite-barrel conditioning to reach its intended factory performance. A lighter swing feel can help a hitter stay inside the ball and turn on faster pitching, but it does not guarantee a harder-hit ball. A stronger player who naturally generates plenty of bat speed may prefer additional barrel mass; a developing BBCOR hitter may gain more from consistent square contact.

Stiff Construction, Comfort Details

Because barrel and handle form one continuous alloy structure, Voodoo One gives a crisp connection to contact. That can help players identify mishits, but the same stiffness can transmit more vibration than a two-piece bat. DeMarini counters with a Damplify knob designed to soften feedback at the lower hand and a Tracer end cap that helps manage the barrel's swing feel. Its extended handle taper also changes the transition into the knob. These are comfort and balance details, not a separate flexible connection.

Where Voodoo One Fits in a BBCOR Lineup

In-stock -3 choices currently span 31/28 through 34/31 ounces, with 32.5- and 33.5-inch options. The 30/27 variant is presently unavailable. Hitters moving into high-school baseball should prioritize repeatable barrel control rather than choosing length from height alone. Current Sizes and Model Comparison

The 2027 DeMarini Voodoo One BBCOR is a one-piece alloy model available in 31/28 through 34/31, including half-inch sizes. Players seeking a direct metal-barrel response should compare handling and feedback at their actual size. For more information, see alloy-barrel care in cold weather.
