Description
Ciara Lovato Yang: compact half-ounce Boom Load
The Ciara Lovato signature Yang M2B1-6148 is a 12-inch, two-piece composite slowpitch bat with Boombah's half-ounce Boom Load. The shorter barrel distinguishes it from the 13-inch Double Shot and the longer 14-inch WOC. It appeals to hitters who prefer a concentrated contact area and want some barrel emphasis without the heavier rotational demand of a one-ounce Nuke Load.
X19 barrel and a stiff Pro Handle
The model's X19 composite barrel technology is paired with a stiff Pro Handle, incremental loading and a BTG gloss-grit surface. The manufacturer's stated design is built around responsive contact and repeatable swing weight, but those claims should not be mistaken for a guarantee of exit velocity. A 12-inch barrel rewards accurate contact, especially on pitches where the hitter must commit early to a precise meeting point.
Comfort from a two-piece junction
The Yang includes a vibration dampener at the handle-to-barrel connection. It is a useful distinction from one-piece composite bats that transmit more of the contact sensation directly to the hands. At the same time, its stiff handle avoids the deliberately whippy feel some two-piece bats offer. This makes the Yang worth considering for players who want a connected swing without every mishit feeling equally harsh.
Why Boom Load is a measured choice
Boom Load puts a half ounce of emphasis toward the barrel end, making it less extreme than Boombah's Nuke configuration. That moderate load can support a confident follow-through while allowing somewhat easier adjustments than a full-ounce end load. A short barrel and a moderate load can still feel powerful, but the better fit depends on whether the hitter can repeat the same swing path over a full game.
Which weights are actually available
The 34-inch/26-ounce and 34-inch/27-ounce variants currently show stock; the 25-ounce option is unavailable. For comparison, browse 240 NTS slowpitch bats or the wider slowpitch bat collection. A shorter barrel is not automatically easier to swing, and an end-loaded 26-ounce bat can feel different from a balanced model of the same scale weight.
Compression, contact and expectations
A composite bat should be assessed for construction, feel and fit before making assumptions about distance. Our article on understanding bat compression numbers helps explain how barrel measurements relate to the equipment rather than promising a particular result. This is the stock Yang model; no aftermarket modification or compression verification video is bundled with the bat.
