Description
2025 Warstic Bonesaber Composite Travel Ball: Katana Speed Barrel in -10 and -8
The 2025 Warstic Bonesaber Composite is the composite-barrel counterpart to the Bonesaber Hybrid. Both share Warstic's distinctive knob and emphasis on quick barrel movement, but they do not have the same hitting material. This model uses a two-piece composite construction with a Katana Speed Composite barrel, 2¾-inch hitting diameter and a speed-loaded swing profile. It is available in -10 and -8 configurations for players who want a substantial composite hitting surface without a strongly end-loaded bat.
Katana Speed Composite Barrel
Warstic describes the Katana Speed barrel as a multidirectional composite layup intended to provide a large, responsive hitting area while keeping the swing light enough for quick hands. The composite hitting shell is a meaningful difference from the alloy-barrel Bonesaber Hybrid. Composite contact can feel different as the barrel goes through normal use and break-in, and its response depends on temperature, wear and the individual bat. Neither a new barrel nor a particular break-in history guarantees a specific exit velocity or distance.
Connection, Grip and Pommel Knob
A separate connection joins the barrel and handle to moderate vibration and give the bat a smoother contact feel than a rigid one-piece design. Warstic's patented Pommel Precision Knob provides a rounded bottom-hand interface that can change how the hitter seats the grip against the palm. The Tsuka Pro-Tact grip adds tackiness and cushioning, while the lightweight composite end cap helps keep excess mass away from the tip. Together, those elements support a speed-oriented design rather than an exaggerated barrel-heavy swing.
Choosing Between -10 and -8
A -10 is generally the easier drop for a developing player to start and redirect; a -8 adds two ounces at the same length and may suit a stronger hitter ready for more mass. Neither choice is inherently better. Watch whether the player stays on plane through the hitting zone, handles inside pitches and repeats good contact when tired. The right size should preserve those mechanics instead of forcing the player to compensate for a bat that is too heavy.
Compare this model with other Travel Ball 1.15 BPF baseball bats, including the alloy-barrel Bonesaber Hybrid. For a technical explanation of barrel stiffness and measurement limitations, see our article on what bat compression testers measure. A stock bat purchase does not automatically include aftermarket services or verification video.
For players comparing factory-stock and professionally prepared composite options, our Rolled Bats for Sale collection is a separate shopping category. This stock Bonesaber Composite does not include a preparation service or verification video; modified equipment cannot retain manufacturer warranty or sanctioned-event eligibility.
