Description

2026 Easton Empire Greg Connell One-Piece: Loaded Senior Softball Power Profile

The 2026 Easton Empire Greg Connell ESS6EMPC1L is a 34-inch, one-piece composite senior slowpitch bat with a 12.75-inch barrel and loaded weighting. This signature model is meant for experienced hitters who like to feel the barrel carry through the hitting zone and prefer direct impact feedback. It is a different choice from the Greg Connell two-piece Empire, even though both share the same player's name and barrel length.

Triple Wall Barrel and One-Piece Construction

Easton's Triple Wall Barrel Technology is the defining barrel feature of this Empire. Rather than relying on a separated handle connection, the one-piece frame sends contact feedback more directly to the hitter's hands. The 12.75-inch hitting surface offers a more concentrated feel than long-barrel 13.5- or 14-inch senior models. With a loaded swing, this configuration may suit a player who already finds the center of the barrel consistently and wants a more substantial contact sensation.

Flex 150 Handle and Power Boost Soft Knob

The bat features Easton's Flex 150 handle and Power Boost Soft Knob. These affect the hand-feel and how the player holds the bat, but they should not be mistaken for a separate barrel-to-handle joint. Compared with the two-piece Greg Connell Empire, which uses an actual connector, this model is a more direct-feeling option. Preference for that feedback is individual; some players like it, while others are more comfortable with a two-piece response on mishits.

Choosing 25.5, 26, 27 or 28 Ounces

The one-piece Connell is available in several senior slowpitch weights, including half-ounce sizing. Those options are meaningful because added barrel mass can make it harder to adjust late to a pitch. A player who can maintain good barrel speed through the course of a game may prefer a higher nominal weight, but a lighter option can make more sense if the heavier bat delays the swing. This is a senior softball bat; its category and event eligibility should not be confused with a 240 NTS slowpitch model.

Compare other senior slowpitch softball bats and review alternative constructions in the slowpitch bat collection. The factory manufacturer lists this senior model without a warranty; verify product terms and event rules before buying.

For technical background on the way this composite barrel responds, our bat compression number guide explains what stiffness readings can and cannot establish. It does not replace choosing a load profile the hitter can control.
