Description
2026 Miken Ultra Gamer MD22 MSS6MDB: Balanced Senior Barrel Control
The Mike Dill MD22 MSS6MDB is the balanced member of Miken's 2026 Ultra Gamer senior slowpitch lineup. Rather than concentrating extra mass at the end cap, it spreads the swing weight more evenly to favor timing and repeatable barrel control. Its 13.5-inch E-Flex 360+ composite barrel offers substantial lengthwise hitting coverage, making it a different proposition from a short, heavily loaded senior bat.
Composite Materials and Two-Piece Feel
Miken specifies a two-piece composite frame, premium C-4 carbon fiber in the barrel and a Super Flex handle. The E-Flex 360+ construction is intended to tune barrel responsiveness around the hitting surface, while the handle separates some of the impact sensation from the hands. An A1 knob completes the grip-end design. The standard 2¼-inch slowpitch diameter should not be confused with a baseball barrel measurement.
Because the MD22 is balanced, the hitter can often make small timing adjustments without fighting a pronounced end load. That is valuable when pitchers change depth or location, especially for players who prioritize hard line drives and gap contact. Balanced does not mean the bat is automatically better for every hitter; a player who depends on a deliberate barrel-heavy rhythm may prefer Miken's Maxload or Supermax configurations.
How It Compares Within Ultra Gamer
The MSS6MDB shares the general E-Flex platform with the Supermax MSS6UGX, but the swing profiles are substantially different. The MD22 distributes weight more neutrally; the Supermax adds a full ounce of end loading. Compared with the Johnny Bailey MSS6JBL, the MD22 also has a longer 13.5-inch barrel and lacks that model's half-ounce Maxload. Those are more meaningful differences than graphics alone.
This model suits senior players who want a smoother two-piece feel without sacrificing control of the barrel during long at-bats. Select a weight based on how consistently you can cover inside pitches, not solely on the heaviest bat you can lift. Check the actual variant availability before ordering.
