The 2026 Mizuno Terry Lambright signature bat (340721) takes a different approach from the Andy Purcell Crush by using a 12-inch barrel instead of 13 inches. Both employ a half-ounce end load, but the Lambright places the hitting surface in a shorter profile. This is worth considering for experienced slowpitch hitters who prefer the compact sensation of a shorter barrel and can consistently locate contact without relying on maximum barrel length.
Triple-Wall Black Onyx Carbon
Mizuno pairs Black Onyx Carbon with its triple-wall barrel construction to build a responsive composite hitting area. Cylinder Seaming is intended to improve structural uniformity. A 12-inch barrel can feel more concentrated through impact than a 13- or 14-inch model, although the result depends on weight distribution, swing timing and the hitter's point of contact. A shorter barrel is not automatically more powerful; it represents a different handling preference.
Dual Frequency Damper and Grip Comfort
The two-piece construction uses Mizuno's Dual Frequency Damper to moderate unwanted vibration between the handle and barrel. Speed-Helix grip gives the lower hand traction through repeated swings.
