The 2027 Combat Coastal Sand SPEC-H1 Hybrid combines an extended SFX alloy barrel with a composite handle in a two-piece design made for hitters who want a substantial barrel profile without the rigid feedback of a one-piece alloy bat. Finished in sand, teal, and pink as part of Combat's Coastal Collection, model CBB7H1CS3 brings a distinctive look to an established hybrid construction.
How the SFX Alloy Barrel Plays
The SPEC-H1 uses an elongated alloy barrel profile intended to provide a generous hitting surface. Unlike a composite barrel that changes as its layers work through break-in, an alloy barrel is designed for its playing response from the start. Hitters considering the Coastal Sand should focus on its swing weight, barrel shape, and contact feel rather than expecting the barrel to soften through a composite break-in cycle.
Composite Handle and Two-Piece Feel
The composite handle is paired with the SFX alloy barrel to create a smoother feel on contact than many rigid one-piece designs. Combat describes the SPEC-H1 as having a mid-loaded swing feel: it offers some barrel presence without moving into the most extreme end-loaded category.
