Bat Shaving Levels Explained
Description
A specific stock DeMarini The Goods -5
This DeMarini The Goods Travel Ball 1.15 BPF baseball bat is a single 30-inch, 25-ounce unit with a listed 2⅝-inch barrel diameter. The original item record describes it as factory stock, unaltered and never hit. That is an important distinction for buyers looking at a closeout or individual-unit listing: this page describes the exact bat offered, not an open-ended group of sizes or a general model family.
What to expect from the -5 format
A -5 bat weighs five ounces less than its length in inches, so this 30/25 setup carries noticeably more mass than a 30/20 -10 option. The correct choice depends on whether the player can get that added weight through the zone without compromising timing. The Goods family is generally associated with a firmer, more substantial barrel feel; however, the most reliable purchasing facts for this listing are the stated dimensions and the individual bat's documented condition.
Choosing a youth travel ball bat
The 2⅝-inch barrel dimension is part of this listing and should not be confused with different The Goods variants that use a wider barrel. Buyers comparing reach, drop and construction across models can browse Travel Ball 1.15 BPF baseball bats or our wider baseball bat selection.
Condition and checkout
The seller description identifies this bat as never hit and unaltered. Review the product images and 30/25 dimensions before purchase because this is not a multi-size listing. Do not assume every similarly named The Goods model has identical barrel construction, dimensions or swing balance.
