Description
The 2025 Miken Ultra Gamer Johnny Bailey Senior Slowpitch Softball Bat (MSS5JB1L) is a one-piece composite senior slowpitch bat with a 12-inch barrel, 0.5-ounce Maxload swing profile and E-Flex 360+ composite with C-4 carbon fiber. This model's construction and handle characteristics are worth comparing with other slowpitch bats before selecting a weight.
E-Flex 360+ composite with C-4 carbon fiber
The supplier identifies E-Flex 360+ composite with C-4 carbon fiber as the key barrel technology. The compact 12-inch barrel and Johnny Bailey signature distinguish this senior bat from longer-barreled Ultra Gamer models. Composite barrel response can vary by model, ball and use. A particular exit velocity or distance gain cannot be guaranteed from design language alone.
Swing Weight and Barrel Control
The 0.5-ounce Maxload weight distribution affects how the bat moves through the hitting zone. Hitters who can maintain barrel speed and repeatable contact may appreciate the additional mass toward the barrel where applicable, but more end weight does not suit every swing. Choose based on the bat's feel and consistent mechanics rather than overall ounces alone.
Handle Construction and Hitting Feel
This bat uses a A1 knob and flex-oriented handle. One-piece bats tend to provide direct feedback through the handle, appealing to hitters who like a connected feel. The preferred level of stiffness and vibration feedback varies by player.
