Minimal Spec- 75% of a normal shave.
Normal Spec- A consistent shave balancing durability and distance.
Aggressive Spec- A little more of an aggressive shave which sacrifices some durability.

Suncoast Melee 12-Inch One-Piece Superload: A Concentrated Senior Barrel
The Suncoast Melee One-Piece Superload 12-inch (SMSL121P) is a senior slowpitch bat with a short contact surface and a strongly barrel-focused swing. Rather than separating barrel and handle with a flexible joint, its continuous composite frame gives immediate impact feedback. The Superload weighting makes this a different choice from a balanced senior Melee of the same length. It may suit experienced hitters who can manage a loaded swing without losing the ability to turn on pitches inside.
What the Short Barrel Changes
A 12-inch barrel provides a more compact hitting surface than a 13- or 14-inch design. Some hitters like the resulting concentrated contact feel; others benefit from the extra physical coverage of a longer barrel. Suncoast's senior composite construction is intended to provide responsiveness through that shorter area, but a hitter must still locate the softball accurately. A loaded bat cannot make up for a swing that arrives late.
One-Piece Contact and Grip Control
With no external two-piece connector, the bat transmits contact sensation through the continuous frame. Suncoast's slimmer handle profile is designed for controlled acceleration, and its tackified barrel surface can influence how the softball leaves on certain contact angles. Hitters who value clear feedback may prefer the one-piece build. Those who want more vibration management should compare a two-piece senior model before choosing.
Finding the Right Superload Weight
Current variants include 25.5, 26.5 and 27.5 ounces, all at 34 inches. Half-ounce weight endings typically indicate a different loading profile from standard whole-ounce balanced bats. The hitter should select the weight that remains easy to control through repeated at-bats. Compare other senior slowpitch softball bats or read about what barrel compression measurements represent.
